Effect of Bacteriocin (ALC102) of Enterococcus faecium GRD AA on Biofilm Forming Listeria monocytogenes MTCC 657

Antilisterial bacteriocin producing strain were isolated from milk samples and subjected to 16S rRNA sequencing found be of genus Enterococcus faecium. The ALC102 partially purified by Amberlite XAD-16 adsorption followed column chromatography. biofilm formation capacity Listeria monocytogenes MTCC 657 evaluated tube method CV binding assay. Biofilm on different abiotic substrates also evaluated. Among three stainless steel had a strong glass aluminum foil. From the results eradication studies, showed almost similar activity commercial nisin all at 45°C, 30°C, 4°C -20°C. Based CBD® assay, potential high (45°C) freezing (-20°C) temperatures. study, antilisterial able inhibit formed temperatures incubation periods (24h, 48h 72h). was nisin. Neither temperature nor period doesn’t altered bacteriocin. So this can considered as competitor in food industry we strongly recommend use faecium GRD AA preservation higher (-20°C).
